Observing individual needs being met in the classroom

Field work # 5

Observe the classrooms paying attention to the individual need of students and blog about your observations.

Ø  During the observation some ways that attention was paid to individual student needs by the teacher included one on one conversations to clarify directions / instructions that needed to be followed and small groups meet to reinforce academic goals during a lesson.   The ELA lesson done worked on subject pronouns being replaced with nouns.  The students worked on the first ten as a group and completed the assignment on their own.  This style offered those student needing examples an opportunity to understand the assignment better prior to having to do it on their own.  The teacher also incorporated writing cursive into this lesson since the students had to write their answers using their handwriting cursive skills.  This allowed them to reinforce this skill.
